If you’re not so much into fashion, but you’re into watches, you may have been introduced to today’s guest’s brand, Rowing Blazers, through their collaboration with Seiko. Or perhaps it was their collaboration with Tag Heuer…or Zodiac. These three pieces were all a part of the brand founded by Jack Carlson, which actually began as a book which was launched by none other than Ralph Lauren. Crazy stuff, I tell ya. Neither Jack nor I could’ve predicted something like this, and it gets better.
Jack later sold a majority stake of the company to none other than Chris Burch (fashion mogul Tory Burch’s ex-husband) and now Carlson serves as the creative director of one of the most storied brands in the US, J. Press.
Obviously I couldn’t wait to chat with him and find out whether or not that convertible G Wagon on his recent Instagram post is his.
